Privacy Policy

1. Data We Collect

PetLinkID stores the following data that you provide:

• Pet profiles (name, species, breed, microchip number, weight, health records)
• Vaccination, medication, allergy, and reminder records
• Vet and emergency contact details
• Insurance and registration records
• Documents and attachments you import
• Your Apple ID identifier (for authentication and iCloud sync)
• Your display name (provided during setup)

2. How Your Data Is Stored

All data is stored locally on your device and synced via Apple's iCloud (CloudKit). We do not operate our own servers. Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest by Apple's infrastructure. We do not have access to your data. It is stored entirely within your personal iCloud account.

3. Data We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect analytics or usage data
• We do not use third-party tracking or advertising SDKs
• We do not sell, share, or transfer your data to third parties
• We do not collect your location (MapKit is used for address search only, with no location tracking)

4. Sign in with Apple

PetLinkID uses Sign in with Apple for authentication. We receive only your Apple-provided user identifier and, optionally, your name. We do not receive your email address unless you choose to share it.

5. Notifications

If you enable notifications, PetLinkID schedules local notifications on your device for vaccination, medication, and reminder due dates. These notifications are processed entirely on your device and are not sent through our servers.

6. Family Sharing

When you share a pet profile, it is shared directly via iCloud between you and the recipient. We do not intermediate or have access to shared data.

7. Your Rights

You can:

• Access all your data within the app at any time
• Delete your account and all associated data from Settings → Delete Account
• Export your data by accessing your iCloud account

When you delete your account, all data is removed from your device and iCloud. This action is permanent and cannot be undone.

8. Children's Privacy

PetLinkID does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. The app is designed for use by pet owners of all ages, and all data is controlled by the account holder.

9. Australian Privacy Principles

PetLinkID is built in Australia and complies with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). We are committed to handling your personal information responsibly.

10. Subscription Data

Subscription purchases are processed entirely by Apple through In-App Purchase. We receive only anonymous transaction receipts for entitlement verification; we do not receive your payment details.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above.
