Terms of Use

1. Acceptance

By downloading, installing, or using PetLinkID, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

2. The Service

PetLinkID is a personal pet record-keeping app. It lets you store pet profiles, vaccinations, medications, allergies, reminders, vet and emergency contacts, insurance and registration details, and related documents. PetLinkID syncs your records across your devices via Apple's iCloud and supports sharing pet profiles with family members.

3. Your Apple Account

PetLinkID requires iOS 17 or later, or macOS 14 or later, Sign in with Apple, and an active iCloud account. Sync, sharing, and backup of your data depend on Apple's iCloud service. We are not responsible for outages, data loss, or limitations caused by Apple's services.

4. Subscriptions and Free Trial

PetLinkID offers an optional premium subscription called PetLinkID Pro. The following terms apply:

• PetLinkID Pro is offered as an auto-renewing subscription, billed monthly or annually through your Apple ID.
• New users are offered a 7-day free trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your Apple ID will be charged for the subscription you selected.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Your Apple ID will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple ID Account Settings. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription.
• Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
• Pricing shown in the App Store is the authoritative price for your region.

5. Your Content

You own all the data you enter into PetLinkID, including pet profiles, records, and documents. We do not claim any rights to your content. Your data lives in your personal iCloud account; we do not host or store a copy on our servers.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use PetLinkID to harm others, to violate any law, to infringe intellectual property rights, or to attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise interfere with the app or its security mechanisms.

7. Account Deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings → Delete Account within the app. This action is permanent and cannot be undone.

8. Disclaimers

PetLinkID is a record-keeping tool and is not a substitute for professional veterinary advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified veterinarian for medical decisions concerning your pet. The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Betametrics Pty Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising from your use of PetLinkID. Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the app or subscription in the twelve months preceding the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer law, including the Australian Consumer Law.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent version. Continued use of PetLinkID after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
